This workshop is a great review for those who have previously taken Zoe’s abstract painting workshop.

Color & Composition: Abstract Painting with Zoe Cohen – Coos Art Museum April 21 & 22

The focus of this workshop takes us beyond technique to examine effective use of color and composition in abstract painting. Participants work toward creating a personal palette which reflects their unique sensibility. By creating color charts of their mixing experiments, each person will have a record to take home. Classic color schemes and traditional compositions are explored in a set of guided exercises.

Studio time will provide students with the opportunity to explore working in a series. This is an intermediate level class.

Some experience with abstract painting is recommended.
