Magda Druzdzel featured artist at Coos Art Museum

Curry Arts member Magda Druzdzel is the current featured artist at the Coos Art Museum rental and sales gallery.

Magda has been an artist at heart all her life.  She was influenced by growing up in the creative metropolis of Warsaw, Poland.  After studying architecture, she realized that drawing and painting were a natural and enjoyable outlet.

She began painting professionally after moving to Gold Beach in 1993, where she opened her own gallery and working studio.  She currently owns Blue Raincoat Gallery located at 29282 Ellensburg Avenue in Gold Beach.

The rugged coastal landscapes of the ocean, mountains, and the deep forests are the inspirations for almost all of her art.

“I try to capture a specific moment in time through my perspective of the beauty of nature. Sometimes I use soft pastel colors and other times I use bright, almost unreal colors to achieve a very strong contrast between light and shadow.”

You can find Magda’s work at Coos Art Museum in the Rental Sales catalog – www.coosart.org – and at her gallery in Gold Beach.

Congratulations Magda!
