Paintings by Curry Arts member artist Chris Keusink will be on display on the second floor of Curry Public Library in December 2024 through January 2025.

A reception will be held on December 12, 2024, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the upstairs conference room.  Chris will be available for questions during the reception.

About the artist:

Chris paints local landscapes in acrylics.  He was raised in coastal southwest Oregon, which is a painter’s heaven, with its ocean, rivers, mountains, and lush forests.  He prefers realism-impressionism; foregrounds are highly detailed but fade into impressionistic backdrops.

Chris states that his passion is to create “I wish I was there” paintings of local scenes, often easily recognizable but also sometimes the special secret spots he’s found through fishing, camping, and backpacking.

What does he mean by “I wish I was there” art?  Simply that.  His paintings should take you there . . . and have you thinking, “I wish I was there.”
